Matt Hightower has been the Director of Cerro Coso's online program since it's inception in 1997. Cerro Coso's online program began when Paul Meyers (ex Director of CVC Region 4) taught the school's first online class (Designing A Web Page with HTML) in the Spring of 1997. Matt and several other instructors took the class and the program grew rapidly from there. Cerro Coso's Online program offers several Associate degrees online with no on-campus requirements to several thousand students per year. Professor Hightower teaches Economics, Business, and Computer Science online, in the classroom, and via interactive television from the Bishop and Mammoth Lakes campuses of Cerro Coso Community College.
