Minimum Technical Requirements

Listed are minimum requirements for an CCC Confer presentation using, content (including the eBoard), text chat, and polling.  Note that the SetUp Wizard should automatically detect whether or not a user meets browser and OS requirements.  All presenters and participants should run the Wizard, even if they meet the minimum system requirements listed below.

Participant Requirements
  • Windows 98+, Mac OS 9+ or Linux
  • 64 MB RAM (128 MB recommended)
  • IE 5.0+, Netscape 7.0+, Mozilla 1.4+, Safari 1.1+
  • Browser must be Java and JavaScript enabled
  • Internet access at 56k or above
Application Sharing
  • If you use Win2000, WinXP or WinNT, you must have Administrative privileges to download   and install SecureDoor.
  • If you do not have Administrative privileges, have an admin download the SecureDoor plug-in.  Note: Once you have installed SecureDoor, you do not need Administrative privileges to use Application Sharing.
  • If you are using a Macintosh OS, you must have Mac OS X+ you must have administrative privileges to download and install SecureDoor as well as use Application Sharing.   (Note that participants may use either Mac OS 9 or X to view or interact with a shared application.)
  • If you are running WinVNC, or any similar brand of Virtual  Network Computing software, you must have it disabled while showing/sharing your application.
Presenter Requirements
  • Windows 98+, Mac OS 9+ or Linux
  • 128 MB RAM (higher recommended)
  • IE 5.0+, Netscape 7.0+, Mozilla 1.4+, Safari 1.1+ (Browser must be Java and JavaScript enabled)
  • Internet access at 56k or above (Broadband or higher strongly recommended)
