The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a Federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in everyday activities, such as buying an item at the store, going to the movies, enjoying a meal at a local restaurant, exercising at the health club or participating in a learning environment.
This law gives everyone access to everything, regardless of their ability to move, see or hear.
This means that anyone in the California Community Colleges system can use CCC Confer for meetings, collaboration and e-learning. When scheduling your meetings, office hours or online classes, you may request closed-captioning for your hearing-impaired participants or students. Participants or students who are sight-impaired may use their screen reading equipment to attend a CCC Confer session.
